The hotel Palacio de Aiete is named
after one of the most beautiful monuments
of the city of San Sebastian:
The "Palacio de Aiete" was
built by the dukes of Bailen in 1878,
and in it remained as guests the most
important personalities of politics.
The Palace has lodged Alfonso XII
and Queen Maria Cristina, and from
1940 to 1975 it was the residence
of General Franco.
Its gardens were opened to the public
in 1977 and they are today a beautiful
place to go for long walks and discover
all its corners.
